“Love is Patient and Love is Kind”

Friday is Valentine’s Day, which has several possible origins, including a priest named Valentine who secretly performed Christian marriages against the emperor’s wishes around 270 AD. Apparently, he was martyred because of this disobedience. So, the attacks on Christian marriage are not a new phenomenon but have been going on for many centuries. The gift of a loving marriage is truly something to be celebrated and the sacredness of marriage worthy of protection. Let us pray for marriages to be strengthened by the love of Christ and pray against the forces that would seek to destroy them!
