“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you.” 1 Peter 3:15
When people see us, do they see the hope of Christ in us? Over the years I have met many “Christians” that seem to lack hopefulness. We of all people should be the most positive and hopeful. I have found that for me to dwell with a heart of hope, I need to spend time in the presence of God daily. That is why it is critical for me to spend the first hours of the day in His presence so that He can rub off on me. Then when I’m around other folks He can rub off on them. The scripture above talks about sanctifying our hearts, what a great concept. As we “set apart” our hearts to Jesus through the presence of the Holy Spirit, our witness for Christ will be apparent and our words will bring hope to those we encounter.
Set Apart for Him,
