“And The Government Shall Be Upon His Shoulder.” -Isaiah 9

Continuing with our prophecy from Isaiah regarding the coming of the Messiah nearly 800 years before the birth of Jesus. Stop and think about this portion of the prophecy of the government and the possibilities within that phrase. When I recall the history of these United States of America, I see in our founders this desire for a government built upon the shoulder or teachings of Christ. Have we lived up to this high standard? Of course not. But, when this land does follow the teachings of Jesus as the founders designed, she has accomplished wonderful things. Let us pray that our nation and all nations will turn to the King of kings in this Advent season!
