Trinity Nursery Safety Policy

Signing In/Out

-Parents must sign in and out their child(ren), and leave a cell phone number

-The nursery capacity limit is 5 children and 2 adult  

-Staff will be masked- Children will not

-Children ages 3 and older cannot be in the nursery

Cleaning/Disinfecting

-All Surfaces and toys are to be disinfected after children leave

-Cleaning products are to be kept out of reach of children

-Outdoor areas will not be used until further notice (requires separate cleaning guidelines)

-Toys that cannot be sanitized are to be removed (ex. stuff animals, wood toys that will deteriorate from chemicals)

-Toys for infants are to be kept separate, and removed from the child when finished

-Floor/riding toys will be washed when children leave

-Set aside toys that need to be cleaned in a separate container marked for “soiled toys”.

Washing/Diapering/Holding

-Child care providers can protect themselves by wearing an overly-large button-down, long-sleeved shirt; and by wearing long hair up off the collar in a ponytail or other updo.

-Child care providers shall wash their hands, neck, and anywhere touched by a child’s secretions.

-Contaminated clothes shall be placed in a plastic bag or washed in a washing machine.

-Infants, toddlers, and their providers shall have multiple changes of clothes on hand.

-Child care providers shall wash their hands before and after handling infant bottles prepared at home or in the facility.

-Parents will be responsible for diapering their child(ren). Staff will notify parents via text message.
